Ba Be National Park lies in the Tropical Southern China area of the Indo-Malayan Realm. This region is characterised by steep limestone mountains, interspersed by lowland non-limestone areas. The underlying geology of the national park is limestone with topography being strongly separated and comprising many high mountain peaks, steep hill slopes, caves, valleys, streams and rivers. Ba Be Lake, which the national park is centred upon and after which it is named lies at 150m above sea level and the surrounding mountains rise up to 1,098m above sea level. The lake is mainly fed by the Ta Han, Cho Leng rivers and Bo Lu rivers.

DAY 1: HANOI - BABE LAKE/NATIONAL PARK (L/D)

Departure for Ba Be Have lunch on road. Upon arrival at Cho Ra, take a boat on Nang river that slips in a cultivated country before penetrating in a landscape of chalky cliffs whose flank are characterized by small wild gardens, where hang the lianas and its long roots in quest of earth. Then enter into the Puong Cave. The river flows, making up a wonderful site where you can enjoy the stalactites on foot of this pothole. Continue going by boat to Pac Ngoi - a village of Tay ethnic. The Tay lives on fishing, rice and corn cultivation. Their stilt houses with the thatched roofs disperse in the austere surrounding landscapes. Have dinner and O/N at the inhabitant.

DAY 2: BABE LAKE/NATIONAL PARK - HANOI (B/L)

After breakfast, visit Ba Be National Park then take a car back to Ha Noi . Have lunch at Cho Ra town, with an optional visit the ATK Zone (Militarize Zone) on the way back to Ha Noi. Arrive at HaNoi around 17:30.

DAY 1: HANOI - BABE LAKE/NATIONAL PARK (L/D)

Pick-up at your hotel is at 7:00 am and head for Bac Kan, the province of Ba Be Lakes. Stopping for lunch at a local food stall in Bac Kan town. Our destination is a small village of the Tay minority people situated inside Ba Be National Park

Arrive at our homestay and refresh with a short afternoon walk around the park and even a swim in the nearby lake.Back home for dinner and talk with our very warm and friendly hosts. Learn about this interesting culture and way of life. Then retire to our beds for a delightful sleep in a traditional stilt home.

DAY 2: CRUISING BABE LAKE/ TREKKING VILLAGE (B/L/D)

Breakfast then we start to discover the imposing beauty of the area on a local hand crafted canoe. Glide along the river, through a pretty cave and onto a powerful waterfall. After lunch at a local food stall near the waterfall, we canoe till our hearts' content into Ba Be lakes and all its majesticness.Enjoy great swimming and water fun. Finish the day with a light trek through ethnic minority villages back to our new home. Dinner, Home stay.

DAY 3: BABE LAKE - HANOI B/(L)

Have breakfast and enjoy a last leisurely walk in the park. Leave the village for Hanoi.Have lunch on the way.Arrive in Hanoi by 5:30 pm back at your hotel.
