The Mekong River has two distinct seasons, the flooding season or high season, due to the large amount of water flowing from Tibet. The rainy season is from July to October, from November to the end of February, the weather is cooler and the water is ever greener. During this time visitors can travel both Vietnam and Cambodia while overnight on board.
